We're excited about your participation in making the Organicfest one of the fastest growing regional organic festivals attracting over 9000 festival goers from as far away as Atlanta, Washington DC and Florida in 2007.

VENDOR INFORMATION

Organicfest Date: Saturday, September 6 National Organic Month!

Organicfest Location: Downtown Asheville, NC by Grove Arcade on:

Organicfest Hours OPEN to PUBLIC: 10 am ~ 6 pm

VENDOR SET UP

Vendor Set-up Hours: 7:30 am to 9:30 am

All vendors may pull in vehicles to their booth space to unload. Unload your vendor supplies and products and then move your vehicle to the Wall Street Parking Garage (at the Otis Street entrance for all day parking  $6.00) and then go back set up your booth. 

ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OUT OF THE ORGANICFEST EVENT AREA BY 9:45 FOR THE 10 AM OPENING.

Battery Park Avenue: Sponsors, Food and Organic booths

O'Henry Street ~ Organicfest Kids' Area: Kids area and kid vendor booths

VENDOR SAFETY INFORMATION

Vendor Canopy Safety Requirement: If you will set up a canopy it must be weighted down on all four corners of canopy legs for safety. This is a street festival and no canopy can be stacked into the street.

VENDOR BREAK DOWN

Vendor Break Down Hours: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

All vendors must complete the break down of their booth by 8 pm

GREENING ORGANICFEST

FOOD / BEVERAGE VENDORS

Insurance: All food and beverage vendors must have submitted Certificate of Insurance to debi Athos via fax: 828.253.7537 by August 15th.

Cooking On Site: All food vendors must submit a completed Food Questioneer for the Bumcombe County Health Department.  The Bumcombe County Health Department will determine by your submission if you will need inspection the morning of the Organicfest before serving food to the public.

Organic Food and Refreshments: In keeping with the theme of the event all foods and refreshments for sale or tasting at the Organicfest must be organic, especially any foods that contain by products from the most genetically engineered crops: canola oil, corn, soybean, rice and dairy (rBGH).

Electric: Power will only be available to food vendors upon request for an additional $30.00 fee. Please contact Tom Athos at: 828.279.2798 by August 15th with any electrical power needs you have.

Organic Beverages: Beverages must be organic and served in paper cups (cans and bottles are prohibited by the City of Asheville at street festivals) We are working to "green" the Organicfest so we are asking beverage vendors to use  recyclable cups. See "Greening Organicfest Policies" link below

VENDOR PARKING INFORMATION

Vendor Parking: There will be no on site parking during the Organicfest.  We recommend that you park in the Wall Street parking garage. The entrance to the Wall Street parking garage is on Otis Street. All day parking is $6.00. You will need to have change as there will not be any parking attendants on Saturday.

Vendor Signage and Merchandise: There will be no structures to hang things on. Canopies, signs and merchandise must secured in case of challenging weather.

Organicfest organizers have sole discretion as to the placement of the vendors booths.

• Neither the organizers of the Organicfest, the volunteers or Asheville Parks and Recreation are responsible for the theft, loss or breakage of personal or booth materials.

• The organizers of the Organicfest make no warranties beyond the terms and conditions of the Organicfest vendor contract.

• The organizers of the Organicfest reserve the right to cancel vendor contracts at any time by returning payment.
