Time to Party in Asheville as Organicfest Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary!!!
September is National Organic Harvest Month
(ASHEVILLE, NC) – Organic is where it's at, baby. From former Presidents to everyday moms, people are discovering that there's more to their food than meets the eye. And they are discovering that organics is not
just the territory of the educated, environmentalists, old hippies and food snobs.
From farm markets to supermarkets, everybody wants to learn more about the food they buy and eat.
And
there's no better place to educate yourself…deliciously…than Organicfest. This special environmental project is the brainchild of the Imagine Center, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting organics to
mainstream America through yummy and educational events. This, the 10th anniversary of Organicfest, showcases organic living in all its natural glory with a day of exciting events for the whole family…from crafts,
gardening, live music and oh, yeah…food, glorious food.
With the food we eat at the centerpiece of the day, Organicfest hosts vendors of all kinds, shining a light on many aspects of organic
living. With companies like Babee Greens (all things organic for the little ones), Smacklips (tees for the organic fashionista), Tomboy Organic Skincare (for organically yummy skin) and loads of organic food vendors to
feed your need for an organic 'fix.'
Organicfest organizer Debi Athos says that eating natural, organic meals is the key to her family's glowing health and that she made the commitment to live more
lightly on the planet long ago, before organic living was the realm of the hip and chic. It's important to her that people see that organic living is all-encompassing, with more than just food on offer.
And to those who say they can't afford organic goods? Debi says we can't afford not to live organically. The future of our health and our planet depend on it. And with organic certification, you can be sure that the
organic label ensures the purity of what you buy…and that spells better health for you, your family, your community…the environment.
Whether you want to dip your toe into the waters of
organic living or dive into the deep end, Organicfest has something for everyone during this fun and informative day.
With sponsors like Organic Shopper Magazine, Natural Lifestyle Online Organic
Market, Silit Cookware, Mountain Rose Herbs, The World's Best Carrot Cake, Earth Fare, Organic Tea Shop, Great Eastern Sun, Brahma Ridge Farm & Event Center, BackHome Magazine, Asheville Magazine, Asheville.com,
Hendersonville.com, 880am The Revolution, Sheville.org, WNC Magazine and The Laurel of Asheville, you can't afford not to come out and play the organic way.
So put September 10 in your calendar…in
ink…and head on over to Pack Square in downtown Asheville. Plan to spend the day. They'll be at it from 10 am til 8 pm. You don't want to miss this!
Additional vendors and sponsors are welcome to
join in the fun! For more information, visit organicfest.org
